Sculpture Park Adds
First Two Works of 2010

(from SKOKIE REVIEW Article 7/8/2010)

The Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park had not seen new additions since November, but that changed in a hurry last week.

Two new sculptures were installed in the popular park that lines McCormick Boulevard on the east end of Skokie. The artists traveled with friends and family from Minnesota to install their looming works just south of Howard Street.

Jamie Barber's "Reaper" is located closest to Howard.

Kari Reardon's new sculpture, "Metalmatic," is located a few yards to the south of "Reaper."

Spring, 2010

Sheila Oettinger, President of the
Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park holds a check for $170 presented by the 1st grade teachers at Kingsley Elementary School on behalf of their students.

The money was raised by the students who sold snacks as a way to learn how to make change. Each year the first graders donate the money to a local non-profit organization as a way to give back to their community.
