ARTIST
APPLICATION PROCEDURES FOR
THE SKOKIE NORTHSHORE SCULPTURE PARK
Thank you for your interest in the Skokie
Northshore Sculpture Park. Our
Sculpture Review Committee meets periodically during the year to review new submissions.
Work that is accepted is placed in the Sculpture Park for an agreed upon loan period, generally
3 years. The Sculpture Park offers the artist a stipend and/or pays the cost of
transportation and installation. Each situation is negotiated on an individual basis. All
work on loan to the Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park can be for sale, and the
Sculpture Park will field inquiries and pass them
on to the artist.
We are looking for work in a wide variety of media and styles, but
all sculptures must be durable and suitable for outdoor placement. Only professional
sculptors who have worked on large scale format should apply.
Artists are asked to submit a Sculpture Image Packet of up to 5 examples of available sculptures. Sculpture images can be submitted as slides, 8x10 photographs, or on CD’s. Please include 2 views of each sculpture.
Also send a Sculpture Information Sheet listing each sculpture numbered to correspond to the pictured images. Include title, size, media and any other pertinent information.
Also please include a resume, artist statement and a SASE.
If you are proposing to create a site specific work for the Sculpture
Park, please send detailed written information and visuals, along with examples of other completed work.
